I planned to do exactly that, tell the stories of a mischievous young someday-Daddy, share some of the recipes and songs, stories and activities we enjoyed together, stories of who I am. This was written shortly after my sister was killed, when my heart needed so much comfort and there was so little to find. It's only now getting better. So happy there was a happy ending for your brother's family. Maybe in time we can have that as well. Thank you so much, Carol. I think writing the posts letting your grandchildren know you love them in hopes that some day they will see them is a very good answer. You might also write about the funny, happy, memorable things your son did as a child, or things you enjoyed as a child, books you liked, games you played, where you lived, so they will know something about the legacy of their family. I have a niece who got so mad at my brother, she did not speak to him for 10 years, until she was pregnant with her second child, his first two grandchildren. They are now all happily in my brother's life. I wish you the best. My heart goes out to you.
